The Samaritans Hong Kong

Years of listening with care

Service awards and displays at The Samaritans Hong Kong

A service sustained by volunteers

Since it was founded, The Samaritans Hong Kong has relied on trained volunteers to provide emotional support to people who feel desperate or are having thoughts of suicide.

The service is built on a simple belief: everyone deserves respect, and every voice deserves to be heard with care.

Being there, day after day

Life can become difficult to bear at any hour of the day or night. Through reliable shifts and sincere listening, volunteers remain available for people who need them. We value the trust of every caller, and the quiet commitment of the volunteers and donors who have sustained the service over many years.

Keeping the listening going, together

Emotional support depends on the whole community. Volunteers give their time and donors help keep the service running, so more people can find companionship in a moment of crisis. Every contribution helps keep this line of listening open.
